Intro
Hazardous and toxic waste are leftover poisonous chemicals from manufacturing, farming, city septic systems, construction, automotive garages, laboratories, hospitals, and other industries. The leftover waste can be solid or liquid or sludge. Some toxic waste contains chemicals, heavy metal, radiation, dangerous pathogens, or other toxins. Even some household items are toxic chemicals such as used batteries, used computer equipment, or leftover paints and pesticides. The chemicals harm humans, animals, and plants if they come in contact with the toxic waste.

How Can We Reduce the Damage?
To effectively reduce waste we need to use the 3 R's reduce, reuse, recycle in our everyday life. Another convenient and popular form of waste minimization is source reduction. It gets rid of chemical hazardous waste at the source.

How Hazardous and Toxic waste affect's our environment
Hazardous/toxic waste affects our environment in many ways. It kills any living organism that comes in contact with it. If toxic waste gets in the water table it can poison the whole water table. Floods can cause the toxic waste to come up out of the ground, after hurricane Katrina there was a huge amount of toxic waste in the water around New Orleans. Toxic waste is often buried in closed containers in the ground and when the container breaks down the toxic waste is released. Toxic waste is even common things, if cow manure gets in a pond and then another cow drinks out of that pond that cow manure is toxic waste and when a person goes to eat that meat from that cow they could be poisoned or even die.
